We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the students who participated in the inaugural Autumn Sun Short Film Invitational. And for those who haven't yet, watch the 2022 Award Presentation to enjoy the fantastic works of our top ten films from this past season.
2022-2023 Season:
This season's expanded format for the HBCU Invitational will allow for the showcasing of up to 100 student films. With over ten awards categories, top entries will be hosted in Detroit (MI) for the opportunity to take home the Official Jury Selection at the 2023 Invitational Awards Gala. All events will be broadcast live with our media partner, HBCU Go of the Allen Media Group.

2023-2024 Season:
Following the completion of the 2023 HBCU Invitational, the Film Invitational series will launch the Open Field program. Open to all Black filmmakers from ages 18-30, nationwide.
Top selections from both the HBCU and Open Field Invitationals will be honored and able to compete for the crown during the Invitational Awards Presentation at the 2024 Autumn Sun Arts Festival.
